Pic credit In a few short pages of his sweet book, “The Real Faith,” Charles S. Price mined the surface of today’s “faith movement”—prophetic because he died in 1947 after 21 years of ministry—and showed us how we often go wrong these days and why many who believe in Jesus and have faith in God do not see healing or miracles in their life. He summed it up beautifully in the words I used for my title today: You can’t have the light and dismiss the sun.
I agree. This is beautiful. I want to ask a question. This might be another post entirely. What do you say to those who would say “my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak”? And by “flesh”, I mean trauma has entered their lives (not unlike your own) and has left them with a desire for intimacy and connection - with the Savior and others - but a lack of understanding how that can happen, with real wounds that haven’t fully healed and might not - this side of heaven? What do you say to those who have struggles related to abandonment, addiction, and attachment?

This beautiful. Going back up to reread and pray.
