Aaand... the flood is here. You know, drip, drip, flood...
The enemy of our souls, the devil, along with his demonic helpers, is stirring up all possible chaos and strife to get the people of the Lord to wring their hands and eat fear.
Please don’t do it!
Stand, instead, in your most holy faith, declare the Lord Jesus Christ as King of your heart, plead His blood over yourself and your loved ones, and ask for the Holy Spirit’s wisdom concerning what you should do.
Christians should be people of ACTION, but we must not go out in the flesh alone; we must wait for the Holy Spirit’s leading so that we do not end up in a quagmire.
This war we find ourselves engaged in is an authentic spiritual war, and God will ALWAYS prevail! If we allow HIM to be Adonai Tsva’ot—The Lord of the Heavenly Hosts—He will lead us into that victory!
St. Paul’s words to the Church in Rome are full of hope, grace, and faith and will help steady your heart if you pay attention to them.
(16) “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, (17) and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. (18) For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (19) For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. (20) For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; (21) because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (22) For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. (23) Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. (24) For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? (25) But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. (26) Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (27) Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (28) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (29) For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. (30) Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” Romans 8:16-30
Brother and sister, it’s OK if you don’t know how to pray! The Holy Spirit is praying for all of us! Jesus is interceding for us! If GOD is FOR us, WHO can be against us (I’m talking to Christ’s believers/followers now)?
None of us can possibly have a grip on everything that is going on in this world. Deception abounds alongside the TRUTH, and it would consume every bit of energy we have to chase information in the way the World does it.
But that is not how the child of God is to proceed in these chaotic times. Jesus said: “When the Son of Man returns, will He find faith in the earth?”
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of God! We must be full of the Holy Spirit and rich in the WORD of God to overcome these times.
Jesus, our Messiah, said this to His disciples (students—that’s also you and me):
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
God’s Word, the holy Bible (Old and New Testament), told us in advance about our times. Jude wrote:
“But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: (18) how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. (19) These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. (20) But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, (21) keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (22) And on some have compassion, making a distinction; (23) but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.” Jude 1:17-23
You, my brother and sister in Christ, are instructed to:
BUILD YOURSELF UP ON YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH, PRAYING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, KEEPING YOURSELF IN THE LOVE OF GOD, LOOKING FOR THE MERCY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST UNTO ETERNAL LIFE.
Once you have done that to care for your own soul, then:
AND ON SOME HAVE COMPASSION, MAKING A DISTINCTION, BUT OTHERS SAVE WITH FEAR, PULLING THEM OUT OF THE FIRE, HATING EVEN THE GARMENT DEFILED BY THE FLESH.
We were left here on earth to help save others.
Use discernment, help others out of the fire so they are not consumed, and bring them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Discipleship works best one-on-one. We were meant to help others enter the Kingdom of God through relationships with the people we know and encounter.
This following passage speaks of Jesus’s appearance to His disciples after He rose from the dead and gave the Great Commission to ALL DISCIPLES:
(14) “Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. (15) And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. (16) He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (17) And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; (18) they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (19) So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. (20) And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.” Mark 16:14-20
If you are afraid, depressed, worried, or overly consumed with the news these days, remember that God is not in the least overwhelmed but told us in advance what would happen.
Jesus warned His disciples:
(12) “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. (13) But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:12-13
I believe Jesus was not just warning us to endure the World’s lawlessness, but He wanted our LOVE to endure to the end! This love is why we are still here after being born again. This love was and still is HIS MISSION. God is saving His children in this world, but Satan is trying to steal as many as he can before the end.
Jesus, the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the World, said:
(16) “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (18) “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (19) And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (20) For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. (21) But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John 3:16-21
Please make a concerted effort to take these words into your spirit and soul. God has NEVER lost control. Some events must come to pass, and you know that if you have read the Bible. St. Timothy said:
(1) “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: (2) For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (3) unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, (4) traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (5) having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Please beware: some who are weak will be tempted to take comfort in this World’s things and listen to so-called “lightworkers” who speak sweetly and entice with their comforting messages. People with evil spirits and evil intentions are roaming around, trying to attract others to:
· join them in their efforts to run from reality and
· engage in useless pursuits, hours of emptiness, doing wasteful things, and
· ultimately falling asleep spiritually.
WAKE UP!
We must be doing our Father’s business, and if we are, then we are in His Will, and what efforts we make for the Kingdom of God will succeed!
(1) “For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (2) For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, (3) if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. (4) For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. (5) Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. (6) So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. (7) For we walk by faith, not by sight. (8) We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. (9) Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. (10) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:1-10
We have a home, a house not made with hands but eternal in the Heavens waiting for us, for all those who overcome!
If we truly believe our Father in Heaven and are sincere and genuine disciples of Jesus Christ/Yeshua, our Messiah, then we know He did not leave us here as orphans! Our physical bodies will pass away, but we (our spirits) are already alive to Christ, seated with Him in Heavenly places, and we will inherit eternal life, immortality, and a new body with which we will forever live in the Kingdom of God!
Warning:
We must not be selfish, but we must pour out the Love of God to everyone we can, sharing the Good News of the Kingdom of God so that others may choose to change their citizenship from this World and Satan’s kingdom to the everlasting Kingdom of God!
Please pray with me:
We thank you, our gracious Heavenly Father, for our lives. Thank you that we are alive to see such times as those in which we now live. Calm our fears, lead us by Your Holy Spirit, and show us Your paths forward. Teach us to love your Word. Grant us discernment to understand the times and to clearly recognize the Body of Christ—Your indwelling Spirit in our brothers and sisters—and teach us to walk in unity as You have desired. Give us strength to overcome the world because You have overcome it. Give us people with whom we can share the Gospel, and give us courage, boldness, and strength to live lives pleasing to You through Jesus Christ/ Yeshua, our Messiah, we pray. Amen
Shalom shalom,
Pastora Cate Covert
I was so glad when I realized it was okay that I don’t know how to pray. 😊
"Thank you that we are alive to see such times as those in which we now live"? That really got through to me, like a needed slap in the face! Rather than "in everything give thanks" I realize I've been cringing away from the times in which we live, thinking of them as a burden and not a joy and opportunity. Thank you.
