DRIP, DRIP, FLOOD By Pastora Cate Covert Aaand... the flood is here. You know, drip, drip, flood... The enemy of our souls, the devil, along with his demonic helpers, is stirring up all possible chaos and strife to get the people of the Lord to wring their hands and eat fear.
"Thank you that we are alive to see such times as those in which we now live"? That really got through to me, like a needed slap in the face! Rather than "in everything give thanks" I realize I've been cringing away from the times in which we live, thinking of them as a burden and not a joy and opportunity. Thank you.
I think it is something we learn as we go, sometimes out of desperation. Jesus taught us a basic format to guide us (The Lord's Prayer), and King David's Psalms and some of the prayers of the Prophets can guide us. But I believe it is something that comes from our heart (and all the things it contains that we are willing to bring to the Light), like desperation, fear, wonderment, thanksgiving, joy... all the parts of our hearts we are willing to submit to Him as a Father/Friend/Creator. We grow in this as we grow in knowledge and stature as sons and daughters in His Kingdom. Truly, though, I have days when the most sophisticated and heartfelt prayer I could utter was, "Please help me, Jesus." <3

Amen.
