You Have Mercifully Restored my Soul.

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.” Psalms 19:14 (The words of King David to the Lord Jehovah)
Beloved brothers and sisters in Yeshua/Jesus the Messiah/Christ,
In these troubled times, there is no better way to begin a day than to honor the Lord God by offering Him your thanksgiving; here is an ancient prayer that will help to do that:
“I am thankful before you, Living and Enduring King, for you have mercifully restored my soul within me. Great is your faithfulness.” (A prayer upon rising from sleep)
In the morning (or whenever it is that you rise), take a few moments to meditate on these words, and they will come into focus:
· I am thankful (find one thing to be grateful for)
· Before YOU (look up to your Abba/Father in faith)
· Living and (He is the Living God)
· Enduring (Immortal, Invisible, the ONLY Wise God)
· King (He is King of the Universe, the Creator of all)
· For you have Mercifully (He gives us mercy if we ask Him for it)
· Restored my soul within me. (He gave you another day to live before Him)
· Great is your faithfulness. (He is Faithful and True toward those who honor Him)
Sometimes, we speak words that only the wind should hear—words of anguish, frustration, fear, or unbelief—but our Abba (Father) in Heaven, who hears us, does not hold us to account for them. As David reminds us:
“For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. (15) As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. (16) For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. (17) But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children's children, (18) To such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.” Psalm 103:14-18
Beloved, there is much fear in the world today, yet the soul that trusts in the Lord does not fear. When you are thankful to the Lord and properly acknowledge Him, you will find much more to praise Him for. Your eyes will be on HIM, and not on the rumors of war that you hear.
There are some who wish they would not awaken in the morning—they wish to pass quietly in their sleep to escape suffering and sorrow. Some fear calamities and some endure great pain—physical and emotional. Some are terrified to see God’s wrath executed upon the evil people who hate Him; their fear has paralyzed them so that all they wish for is to fly away to Heaven and leave this world behind. To these poor ones, I say: give HIM your heartfelt gratitude, for He may yet show you the reasons He has restored your soul today.
If you fit the description above, I challenge you to push your fears and troubles out of your mind and contemplate these words of Messiah Yeshua:
At that time, Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. (26) Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. (27) All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. (28) Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (29) Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (30) For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:25-30 [Emphasis mine.]
Remember to honor HIM with your trust, and He will direct your path:
(5) “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; (6) In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (7) Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. (8) It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8
When you are tempted to fear, remember why Yeshua/Jesus was born among men. Remember He is the First and the Last, and He will do what the Lord Jehovah said, according to the prophet, Isaiah:
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7
May the Lord grant you His Shalom, His peace that passes all human understanding. May He make you faithful and courageous always, and not fearing the future, but looking to your Abba in Heaven.
Amen
With love,
