Psalms 8:1-9 O יהוה, our Master, how excellent is Your Name in all the earth, You who set Your splendour above the heavens! (2) Out of the mouth of babes and infants You have founded strength, Because of Your adversaries, To put an end to enemy and avenger. (3) For I see Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have established. (4) What is man that You remember him? And the son of man that You visit him? (5) Yet You have made him a little less than Elohim,a And have crowned him with esteem and splendour. Footnote: aOr - elohim. (6) You made him rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all under his feet, (7) All sheep and oxen, And also the beasts of the field, (8) The birds of the heavens, And the fish of the sea, Passing through the paths of the seas. (2) Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger. (3) When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, (4) What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? (5) For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. (6) You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, (7) All sheep and oxen—Even the beasts of the field, (8) The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas. (9) O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth! NKJV
And what is it that comes out of their mouths which silences the enemy and the avenger? Hmm 🤔
I wonder how the sound from the mouths of babes ordains strength and why in that same sentence He brings in His enemies? This requires researching what God has Said about the sounds, cries, words, of babies and infants. "Children are a blessing of The Lord," but where is the ordained "strength" in these frail, fragile, helpless ones?
