A heartfelt personal note to Jesus-followers.

My heart is so grieved over what is happening right now I can barely speak of it. I will not side with anyone unless they happen to agree with what God has clearly stated in His Word to us believers in Christ. Faith is not based on democracy; it is based IN our Heavenly Father, and we have that privilege because while we were still HIS enemies, He loved us.

Based on what I’ve been seeing the past few days, I have a question for Christians.

For God so loved the world, _________________? (choose one answer)

A.      He decided to kill everyone who was against Him or threatened one people group.

B.      He gave rules for some but not for others.

C.       He decided Christians don’t need to read the Old Testament.

D.      He is fickle, divorced His first love, and broke His covenants with His people of faith (check out Hebrews in the N.T. if you are unsure of the answer here).

E.       He gave His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to redeem us.

It is time for all Christians to remember our mission and to stop calling for death. Satan is the one who kills, steals, and destroys. Let’s not side with him.

Our own country’s leaders have manipulated us for so long that we know how the game is played. We must remember that the ruling elite (Satan’s buddies) uses the same playbook everywhere because it works. It’s not original.

We who claim discipleship in Jesus must trust that He knows what is happening, and we must find our hearts entwined with His in LOVE for our fellow humans. If Jesus Himself did not come into the world to condemn it, how dare we think we have that right? Vengeance belongs to the Lord.

Self-defense? Certainly, take care of your people! Pray and ask for wisdom and obey Him when He answers. The only thing that is going to keep us right before the Lord Jesus is to go to Him moment by moment. Holy Spirit is the one who will lead us and guide us in righteous paths.

I suggest it is time for all of us to dust off our Bibles and get busy obeying. If you want some pointers on where to begin, try the Gospels (especially the words of Jesus), the books of Moses, the Psalms, and the Prophets.
